Based on a recent report, Intel will release their enthusiast Haswell-E processors alongside the modern X99 chipset on 29th of August. Instead of just a paper launch, Haswell-E CPUs & motherboards actually using the "X99" chipset, also with DDR4 RAM to the platform, should all be accessible at the point for audience to get their buy on the day.
At this point it looks such as Intel is gonna start three CPUs included in the Haswell-E line. The flagship part of it will reportedly be the Intel Core i7-5960X, featuring 8 cores & sixteen threads, and a massive clock speed involving 3.0 GHz & 20 MB involving L3 cache. The SKU is expected to cost around 1,000 Bucks!!
For a more modest price tag, you'll be able to have the Core i7-5930K, which is gonna come with 6 cores and Twelve threads, and the clock speed regarding 3.5 GHz, & 15 MB regarding L3 cache. It can be available for well over 500 Bucks, still commanding a big premium over Intel's superb Haswell chips.
The final part is likely to be the Core i7-5820K, with 6 cores. Other specifications with this chip didn't reveal at the moment (we are possibly hopping a clock rate of 3.3 GHz & 15 MB of L3 cachee, but it's likely to cost between $350 & $450.
Haswell-E CPUs are actually supported with "Intel's X99", which is the first "on a consumer level" to run DDR4 memory. We also configured some of X99 motherboards in the Computex show ground in June, including features like USB 3.1, SATA Express and a lot of PCIe channels.
